In line with
futomimii's absolutely gorgeous sky photos - seriously, check them out if you can - here is a shot I snapped yesterday in PJ:

Lovely blue sky :)
Wish I should say the same about the actual weather though - it's been scorching hot these few days, ouch. +_+ Add being stuck in traffic to that equation, and you get a lot of general grumpiness.
Worse still, despite my white blood-cells (usually) stellar defenses, I think I'm coming down with the flu. +___+ If that isn't bad enough, there's a sore throat threatening my voice, which I really, really need for tomorrow's public speaking presentation. Considering it is the final assignment for the subject and carries pretty heavy weight in our final evaluation, I need to stay audible at the very least. >.< Ugh.
Gotta last through this stretch and the Finals!

Figured I should upload the photos I snapped today at Sogo (more on that later), which ended up in me catching up a little on a few backdated photos. So, this isn't quite a photo spam, but what the hey, it'll do. (Warning, fairly big pictures - fear them!)
But first! Remember my goal of taking over the world with cute photos?

YEAH, MY PLAN IS WELL ON ITS WAY. 8D
( To start things off, UTAR Setapak trip, anyone? )
( Then, there's the 'Was not in China; here's the photo to disprove it' shots... )
( And now, for some very, VERY backdated stuff )
...for a self-proclaimed not-very-photogenic person, I have a lot of self-photos. O.O. Huh.

Since I fail at being up-to-date, let's review some life lessons I have learnt throughout the past few days.
Lesson One: Your (usually) trusty, long-suffering calculator will always die a convenient death when you need it most.
In this case, when I needed it for my research methodology midterm. Awesome timing, I say - only way it could up that would be if it died during the Finals.
...*touches wood*
Lesson Two: Any non-scientific calculator will, in an examination context, be out to get you if you attempt to use it to add/subtract/square root any sum containing more than 5 sets of numbers.
Try two lists with 35 numbers each. Painful experience, that. =.= I never did find out that standard deviation of differences in the end; yay for working backwards!
Lesson Three: Do not call people 'stupid'; instead use 'manifest profusion of delusional ideology incarnate' instead.
Not exactly what Persuasion and Negotiation may have set out to teach us, but wonderfully effective nonetheless once you figure out a way to memorize that and spew it all out without pausing. ;D
Lesson Four: Never, ever take a 'half-an-hour nap' before an exam.
Because you end up oversleeping anyway, which leads to no brush-up revision, which leads to you gaping like a goldfish during Oral when you forget Japanese particles and the teacher is waiting patiently for you to finish your (at this point, shot) sentence.
Lesson Five: Mosquitoes are the spawn of Evil. _EVIL_.
And like evil, they are everywhere. *swats at another one* If I have to kill another mosquito during lecture, I'll start a collection and sell them at Petaling Street because anything goes at PStreet.
Lesson Six: When everything seems too cramped and messed up, just remember: deep breaths and tomorrow.
Something which I should practice more. *nods*
Lesson Seven: When in doubt/stressed, the variety show, Star King makes everything better.
Why no, I haven't been on Youtube, loading all these videos....much....really...
Lesson Eight: You know you're seriously in for it when you keep looping a song which chorus (melody) consists of only ONE note.
Though it must be admitted that the chords camouflages the one-note-ness to an extent and it's ridiculously catchy, but seriously. Darn you, Super Junior for invading (and successfully) conquering my playlist. And my mother's approval! *shakes fists*
(PS: For the curious, said song is 'Sorry Sorry' and said one note is A. Seriously.)
Well, that's about it, I should think. Write, self, write!
editei: Wait, wait - I come back to LJ and see that THERE IS AN OVA FOR RIKKAI'S EARLIER YEARS?In which Kirihara gets served by the Troika? Which features a CAPLESS, messy-haired Sanada Genichirou?
♥
*begins plotting way to get hands on this OVA by hook or by crook, most likely by crook*
editei: This hand-flute performance makes me feel like getting the Lupin III OST like, now. +.+
editei: I keep editing this post tonight, but only because I'm absolutely dying from laughter just watching these SuJu parodies on Youtube at the moment:
The one-man 'Sorry Sorry Parody' - by the time he reached the rotating computer chair...seriously, I salute the sheer creativity and utter LOLZ that is this video. >DDD
Office men dancing to 'Sorry Sorry' - From the Korean Airlines to boot! Goodness knows how many places they used as background setting, but this is absolutely priceless, ZOMG WHAT.
(I think they're the same group that appeared on StarKing?)
Either way, they also did a pretty snappy attempt(if less hilarious) of the dance version of 'Neorago (It's You)' (original over here for comparison purposes).

...Was how a friend of ours described the Petronas Twin Towers to a Japanese student today. >D Man, they should have asked him about KL Tower too!
A few of us were invited to participate in Skype conversations with a number of Kansai University students as part of their course in conversational English, rotating partners every ten minutes or so. ( Cue some tl;dr! )
My biggest regret? Forgetting to get their contact details, OTL OTL FAIL. T^T
But anyway! Thanks to today and Graff's prodding, I finally went and installed Skype! My ID there is 'tangibilia'; do add me (if you'd like)! Do give me a heads-up if you can though, in case I don't recognize your ID or something. :p
Also, HOTEL quiz today. Ugh, brain. Also learnt that the term '19th Century' does NOT, in fact, refer to years starting from 1900, but years from 1800 onwards. *headwalls*

One more quiz, one more presentation and I'm home-free!....to study for Finals. XDD;;;
Seriously, I think I've clocked up more in-class sleeping hours this semester than I have in my entire life, the best (worst?) so far being 4 (and a half) almost-consecutive hours of napping during a lecture, OTL. Granted, it was a assignment-presentation day and not an actual lecture, but after I was awake enough to that to sink in, I felt kind of guilty about it. ^^;;; May it never, ever, happen again.
Speaking of life, I still have one somewhere, I swear! Like the not-quite-spontaneous lunch gathering a bunch of us had some time back. And while my Neopets fever has died down (again), I'm readdicted to American Idol, if just because of Adam Lambert (♥) and his crazy-brilliant performances every week. And, even without owning a Nintendo DS, I have inexplicably found myself wading through the Phoenix Wright fandom, LOL!
And, gasp! I'm actually still following the New POT, despite its headdesk-worthy plot so far. The current ES21 and OP arcs are building up to epic proportions as well; gotta love how they always deliver. ♥
Gotta start working on my Final Year Project proposal over the holidays. Easier said than done, especially when I have absolutely no idea as to what topic to do. =___= Still, the holiday trip(s?) planned out for this round's break should be fun!
Sorry if I seem to be somewhat unresponsive in terms of comments on LJ, guys. I do still read my F-list, what with the skip=+100 I do everytime. Hopefully, I'll be a better commenter come break.

My life, quick recap version, in point form:
Last week, I:
i) Researched and created a PWRPT presentation for Mass Media and Society (4 hours)
ii) Redid said presentation after discovering I covered the wrong topic (3 hours)
iii) Completed part ('age as affective factor in language acquisition') in Language Learning Theories (2 1/2 hours)
iv) Did Japanese (oral) exam
v) Completed my HOTEL (History of EL) assignment on language changes (6+ hours)
vi) Discussed Language Teaching assignment (Lesson Plan) (1 1/2 hour)
vii) Participated in Earth Hour (1 hour)
This week, I/ I will:
i) Presented MMS presentation (45 mins)
ii) Completed and send in Epic-Last-Minute(tm) MPH-Alliance essay submission (6000+ words, 5-6 hours?)
iii) Did Japanese (written) exam (1 hour)
iv) Submitted Language Learning assignment
v) Fell solidly asleep throughout a whole lecture (1 1/2 hours)
vi) Prompted the teacher of said lecturer to think I'm sick
vii) Was pranked by my course rep into thinking we had a short talk in a class that turned out to be the stairwell (LOL, Happy April Fool to you too, Liz!)
viii) Research tutorial plan-presentation (archaic Old EL features in MEL, Webster)
viiii) Complete data analysis/discussion of Sociolinguistics assignment (BD/AD students' reception of Manglish)
Next week, I will:
i) Have 6 presentations to do (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday x2, various subjects)
ii) Listen to Final Year Project lecture
iii) Prepare for HOTEL quiz
Gotta love my schedule, seriously. +___+
In other notes, the lecturer referred to in vi) was, ironically, the same lecturer who started the whole exam-time fiasco, lol. She actually felt my forehead which was why I woke up actually) and told me she would pray for me to get better. Makes me feel a tad guilty for my rant - not completely though because there really is no excuse to tamper with exam time. Still, I guess she's a nice person, if not the best of teachers. :)
Research tonight - please, oh please work, Streamyx. >A

I haven't been updating LJ lately, oops! ^^; I should be more persistent when it comes to updating, really.
Regarding the rant in the previous post, our lecturer apologized for the time cuts, hinting she'll be much laxer in marking the papers. I'm still not completely buying it though; what if there were students who were unable to answer the questions at all? Pushing the issue publicly won't do much of a difference though - reporting, unless done by a large majority, rarely works and trust me, I'm pretty sure some people in that huge, huge class (combo of EL, Chinese Studies and Journalism(?)) are happy enough to leave as early as possible, thank you very much. What I _can_ do is submit a negative evaluation form on her at the end of the term, which I think I'll do.
Finished two assignments this week and one HOTEL (History of EL) quiz; it's been a busy, busy week! One of the assignments (the Sociolinguistics one) included a chapter summary where we had to summarized 25 pages worth of reading material into 1 page, guuuuuh. X_X;; *FALLS OVER AND DIES* The response page after that was almost just as bad, because I didn't have enough brain material scraped together to formulate any kind of reaction towards the issues I summarized. Needless to say, I'm glad that particular assignment is over and done with!
Have a Language Learning mid-term to look forward to next week, oh joy. Long sems are always super-busy, I guess. And, as redundant as this issue is getting, my cough and flu needs to take their leave of me, kthks.
Watched 'Watchmen' today with friends; I'm really impressed by the cinematography and the mood of the whole movie - artistic violence, anyone? For someone who's super-squicky when it comes to extreme violence and horror, I'm actually surprised that, with the exception of one of Rorschach's flashbacks, I managed to watch the entire thing without squinting. Somehow, there is a kind of (dare I say it) elegance, however brutal, in a number of the more violent scenes that kind of keeps me kind of disconnected from them. It's hard to describe, but Tl;dr - I was so awed by the way they were pulled off, I didn't have time to be really creeped out. ^^;;
While it's not the kind of movie I'd list amongst my favorites, I definitely have to tip my hat off towards it for the way it carried the plot. Granted, I've never read the original graphic novel, so far be it for me to compare it to the original plot. I do think the movie-plot rather interesting as it is though, so it was totally worth the money I forked out to watch it. :)
Anyway, will try to catch some early winks tonight, but chances are that I'll end up sleeping late again anyway. ^^;;

Finally, after months of careful planning, mix-ups and minor mishaps, we were able to run the English Language Undergraduate Seminar without any major hiccups or hitches. Hooray for that! (^O^)
We had a run-in with Murphy's Law before the seminar even began, actually - apparently, the faculty had accidentally double-booked the venue, despite us taking the precaution of making our booking way, waaay earlier (two months ahead, in fact). Lemme just say, nothing quite wakes one up in the morning as finding out that there's a lecture going on in the room one thinks has been reserved in advance!
Just when we thought all crisis adverted, one of the presenters today fell sick, which resulted in some super-last-minute changes in the schedule. That was resolved fairly quickly though, thanks to the early notice. We had overlooked the matter regarding the control of the laptop (due to the location) during the first session in my room (203), which resulted in the first presenter having to signal to the PA person to change her slides. Thank goodness that was quickly fixed as well, and the second session saw the presenter herself in control of her own slides.
I know I flubbed some of my lines as the emcee, but my partner picked up on the missing lines pretty efficiently during those parts. Together, we also ad-libbed through the entire closing half of the seminar, having received the specific program details for that bit at the very last minute (during the plenary speech, in fact). My cough behaved itself for most parts; with luck, it'll take its leave of me soon.
All in all though, I'm glad everything went pretty well - the presenters did really good jobs; all their presentations fitted nicely into the time slots and I had very little problem ensuring each session kept to the allocated time. Watching them reminded me that I have to plan my own thesis topic soon, urrrgh - haven't the slightest idea exactly what I want to do yet.
The students from Kampar really surprised me with their assertiveness when it came to the QnA sections; they were the first to step up to the plate (or, in this case, the mike) and boy, did they have a lot of questions! *laughs* I need to learn where they get their spunk from - the water over there, maybe?
Any way, with all the major events over for now, maybe I'll actually be able to catch some sleep! Still have a couple of things to catch up with tomorrow, but I'll be glad for the extra sleeping time, nonetheless. :)

Haven't been updating my LJ for awhile; uni's been busy and I'm just a procrastinator that way. ^^; A huge photo dump is huge soon, once I've finished sorting out (or transferring in) those pictures.
Also still working on those drabbles; they will eventually go up. Hopefully.
Uni promises very sleepy mornings, but awesome lecturers.
And now, tl;dr squeeage:
Was invited by Denise's mother to go watch the premiere of 'Red Cliff II' yesterday (thanks so much, aunty! T^T9) and lemme just say this: it is super, SUPER AWESOME and now, I need the DVD, if just for the scarecrow (with Lu Su) and the arrow ploy and generally sneaky strategies and epic war scenes and yes, I'll stop now. Seriously, wow. I love the music and how it just fits with the action/event taking place onscreen. Some of the characters (the females in particular) definitely deviated from their characterization in the original history and/or the 'Rot3K' novel but it was done well, IMO.
The scenery and the war scenes were A-plus, though I could be a bit biased here - 'The Battle of Chibi' is one of my favorite (and most frustrating map) in DW5, so watching the actual version actually unfold was pretty amazing for me. Come to think of it, I was pretty much fangirling throughout the movie. I didn't notice Xiahou Dun until the end though, darn.
I have no idea how they're ever going to compress both movies (Red Cliff I and II; 4-and-a-half hours combined) into a single, two-and-a-half-hour movie for the release outside Asia. My guess is that they'll likely cut out chunks war scenes and minor plot points like, God forbid, the arrow ploy (which would be a huge, huge shame, in my opinion). Either way, I'm glad I got to watch both movies in their full, uncut glory.
[/tl;dr]
I want to see Inkheart. But first, I want to actually start reading the book.
I need to kick my writing ass back into gear out of sheer necessity. Those Canaan days, where have they gone?
Also need to get Photoshop 7 back; can't seem to do anything with PS Elements.
EDITEI: Added a whole lot of tl;dr on 'Red Cliff'. ;D

I want to see Inkheart. But first, I want to actually start reading the book.
I need to kick my writing ass back into gear out of sheer necessity. Those Canaan days, where have they gone?
Also need to get Photoshop 7 back; can't seem to do anything with PS Elements.
EDITEI: Added a whole lot of tl;dr on 'Red Cliff'. ;D

Guys, remember that fuss I kicked up about my B+ in Journalism II and how I eventually sent it for remarking?
Well, the uni's faculty office called me today out of the blue and told me that my subject remark results were out, prompting me to rush out of Malaysian Lit class, dash all the way down to said office and wait for ten agonizing minutes at the counter for someone to appear-
Only to be told that I couldn't get my review slip until I brought back my old results slip, which I had (obviously) left at home.
In the end, I had to ask my mom to bring it for me when she came to pick us up; rushed the slip back to the office, where I was finally, finally handed the envelope after waiting on tenterhooks for them to dig it out of some folder. (Also chatted a bit with my previous teacher and current Head of Department, who, judging from the look she gave me, probably thinks I'm a bit whacked for remarking a perfectly decent grade.)
And guess what?
MY GRADE WAS BUMPED UP TO AN A-, OH SPARKLY JOY~~~~8DDDDD
*does happy jig all around the room*
In funnier news, MPH sent me the latest edition of their annual magazine 'Quill', which features interviews with several writers who contributed to 'Urban Odysseys' and possibly all the authors in tiny boxes on the cover.
So there are all these nice pictures of various authors smiling and looking nice and like Serious Authors(tm) and LOL WHAT THE HECK, THERE IS MY FRIGGIN' HAZUKI PHOTO SITTING SQUAT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TOP ROW.

Quickpost this image to Myspace, Digg, Facebook, and others!
The first thing my mom says upon seeing it?
'...But it doesn't look like you. =/'
Until now, I haven't quite figured out if I should be horrified, amused or both at the fact that I sent in a cosplay photo for an author picture or the fact that they actually used it over the alternative photo I included. Granted, said alternative was a cam-whore shot; you know, that one on my Facebook profile.
...This must say something about keeping clear, good self-shots, non-cam-whore photos on hand (or on hard-drive) next time I need them.
On a brighter note; hey, look
carneaglariel, that's the photo you took! 8D
Reading the few interviews inside, the authors' views and ideas behind their stories sound pretty profound - makes me wonder why they ever selected mine, really. ^^;;

Took a lot of pictures in the past two days alone - makes me wonder if my subconscious was trying to compensate for the lack of photos throughout the semester.
Pretty large photodump - you have been warned.
First, here's the newspaper assignment we had to do for our Journalism 2 - 4 pages of brainbreak, layout woes, late nights and editting.
( +3 Honeycomb pictures )
Then, on the last day of the teaching semester, I suddenly felt the need to take a few random photos:

That kinda expanded until we (
yuncyn,
folklorist, Sal and I) ended up taking a whole bunch of photos by the side of PG (the furniture block) since the cafeteria crew weren't in that day to stare at four students who are obviously tengah syok sendiri (enjoying (indulging?) themselves).

And because I haven't posted her here lately:

Last lecture week of the semester - six days of study break and Finals exams will be upon us, egads. >___>;;
Coursework marks have been coming back - so far, it's all alright (phew!), with nothing that should pull my grade down. We still haven't gotten our morphology, psycholing. and academic writing assignment marks though.
The past few days have been crammed with quick trips to Midvalley Megamall from uni. Not purely for the pleasure of lepaking (hanging out) though; been searching for presents to buy our lecturers and my mom (since it's her birthday next month), the latter being a bit of a challenge. Doesn't help that I do my shopping with someone whose birthday ALSO falls in September and I can't ninja-buy her anything for fear the surprise will be blown. So how about it,
yuncyn, ol' pal? A spatula good with ya?
Moral learnt: Do not ever, EVER carry a heavy bag + books when you have to ride the KTM train; if leg ache isn't enough, I'm probably going to have sloping shoulders before I'm 25.
My long-standing grudge with the KTM train has been renewed in the past two days alone. Give me the LRT any day.
Thanks to early classes, we managed to watch 'Wall-E' today and HOMG, IT WAS AMAZING, HOW CAN A ROBOT BE SO CUTE AND SOULFUL ♥♥♥ The plot was fairly simple and understandable; what really makes the movie so memorable is the emotional relativity conveyed through the various characters. The cockroach, for one, was (I can't believe I'm typing this) so likable and likewise goes to the supporting cast of both humans and robots. The emotional growth of both Wall-E and Eve was also particularly well-done and pretty subtle. And I have a super soft spot for Moe, that obsessive cleaning disorder robot; LOL!!!
Seriously though, F-list - if you can, go catch this movie. It's really worth it - am now wondering if I should download/buy it.
Oh, before I forget, lemme just post this here:

Date: 20-21 Dec 2008

Time: 11am-7pm
Never hurts to spread the word! ^^
Am tired, both mentally and physically. I really need to readjust my sleep schedule. In the meantime, study week means I can sleep in to gear up for the early exam mornings. I also predict lots of either DW or Reflexive Arcade games during that period.
Am not looking forward to revision but then again, who ever does?

The semester's coming to an end soon (give or take a month?) - I don't feel geared for my Finals at all and there's so many things hanging in the air at the moment (like assignment grades and whatnot).
Also need to finish off two news reports for our Journalism assignment, but I can't quite muster up the enthusiasm to write them, orz.
Just found out this morning my grandmother has an intestine problem, where it apparently gave out. She needs to undergo an operation, which is really risky, given her age. What doesn't help is the fact that she's already suffering from Alzheimers, which makes it all the more painful to picture the confusion she must be going through at the moment.
I've never been close to my grandmother (language and distance barrier), but I can't help but feel really, really sorry for her. Seriously, I can't even bring myself to imagine how bewildering everything is to her; I mean, Alzheimers is bad enough on its own, but coupled with the trips to the hospital, she must be pretty frightened. >___<
As heartless and stupid as this may sound, if it were me in that state [of not knowing anything], in my current frame of mind, I think I'd willingly choose to well, pass away (if I could). I don't think I can stand the sheer horror of losing one's grasp on memories and everything that's made precious because of those memories.
Is it then hypocritical of me to hope she makes it through this? It's so easy to state opinions like this, but the emotional impact it'll have on people close to you is....well, massive. Likewise, I don't want my mom and aunties to be so stressed out and worried.
*sighs* Don't mind me; I don't think I'm making much sense right now; logic's being derailed as it always is once emotions come into play. I'm definitely not emo though - more tired than anything else.
My mom's popping over to Kedah 1st thing tomorrow - my brother will be around (break from uni), so I won't have to bother anyone to accompany me. I think he's getting sick too though - hope I don't catch it from him (or that he gets sick in the first place).

Finally handed in my Morphology assignment today; phew, that's a load off my shoulders! Can't predict the grade I'll get for it, but at least I can't worry and stress over it any more. Half our class was missing for the whole day rushing it; we definitely weren't the only sleep-deprived students in class today!
(Not So) Fun Fact: It took me 3 hours to sort my citations, references and bibliography - roughly the same time it took for me to discuss Part 3 of my assignments (prepositions as a lexical/functional category).
This means after our newspaper project, Academic Writing essay and one more Morphology quiz, we'll be done with this semester (excluding Finals)!
In the meantime, I've garnered quite an extensive list of movies I want to catch at the cinema. 'Red Cliff' doesn't seem to be showing any more (darnit!!! D8<) and 'Dark Knight' might follow suit if I don't watch it in time. I'm depending on its popularity to keep it around for a little longer though.
List:
i) Red Cliff (DVD)
ii) Journey to the Center of the Earth (3D)
iii) Wall-E (coming soon)
iv) The Dark Knight
v) You Don't Mess with the Zohan (No, seriously.)
vi) Mamma Mia! (coming soon)
vii) Unleashed (on DVD)
viii) The Forbidden Kingdom (yes, still!)
Egads! My poor wallet. D8<
Missed the Olympics opening in favor of catching 'The Mummy 3: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor', solely because it had Jet Li and Brendan Fraser. While not as good as the previous two, it was still pretty decent.
yuncyn and I agreed that it's not easy to break out of the formulaic 'kill-the-mummy,save-the-world' loop and reinvent it to make it seem fresh. The CG work was pretty cool and there were some funny moments here and there, so all was good. >D
Olympics-wise, the events I really, really want to catch are the swimming, diving, gymnastic and basketball; hope they don't clash with my classes!
Also hoping to be able to do free-style writing sometime soon; missing fanfiction as well. If I was rusty before, I'm probably really, really out of touch with it now, ugh.

Another whole day out: 7.30 a.m. to 11.30 p.m. on a cramped stomach to boot!
Spent my morning in Journalism lectures and EL meetings, my afternoon (and evening) at PC Fair and my night holed up at both the LRT and bus stations.
Swam through hoards of people, got bumped and pushed around, got lost once (when searching for my brother), gained really tired feet and endured the heat of goodness-knows-how-many-people cramped into a space.
BUT IT WAS ALL WORTH IT FOR THE 500GB EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE I GOT. ♥♥♥♥(T^T)9
And below my budget to boot! I was actually so physically (and mentally) prepared to pay more for one (and forego it if it proved too expensive) that I actually stopped and goggled at the prices until the throng pushed me along. Admittedly, I'll have to skimp on things for a few months and figure out how to rearrange the electricity sockets to accommodate for yet another plug but at least that'll be a load off my C: Drive. Plus, I can utilize my 80GB portable as back-up and for traveling purposes. (Thanks
slay_x for bearing with my pestering and bother for advice and help! Owe ya (more than) one! ;D Also, thanks
ultra_butterfly for the info on your HD. Really appreciate it! ^^)
Seriously, I was almost swayed into buying cheaper HDs with the same capacity - it's hard to make a choice when there's so many different brands around you and you're not exactly very tech-savvy.@_@ I'm pretty pleased with the one I got though; the brand is well-known and
slay_x said it performs fairly well. Here's to hoping it works flawlessly for the next few years!
Also bought a pair of earphones for below RM20 (student price apparently, whaddya know?); joy~! My bass-picky brother deemed them acceptable; we tested every pair we were interested in on his phone before we (or rather, he) pronounced judgment. I really should up my tech-smarts before I hit PC Fair again. =p
Extremely tired now - going to have to rush my half of the psycholing. assignment possibly on Monday (since I'll be out again tomorrow). Sorry Dylane! I'll make it up to you somehow! T______T

My brother packed up and went off to UM (Universiti Malaya) today! We popped in yesterday to look around the campus and I have to say, campus-wise, UTAR (the PJ branch) loses hands-down. They have sports facilities (swimming pool, tennis courts, etc.), an Asian Arts gallery/museum, a whole lot of labs and a huge-ass library.
But what really gets me is the kayaking facility inside.
Good luck with focusing on your studies, bro. ;D
On the DW front, I prove my awesome sense of blurness trice over by saving over my previous campaign file every time I start a new campaign. THREE TIMES.. Which means I lost all my efforts of collecting certain characters, especially the random ones that you can only get by searching. THREE TIMES.
HOW SAD AM I.
On the uni front, there's a number of assignments coming in, which means less DW, more working, woe. T___T Doesn't help that the majority of the classes are morning ones and my one, true skill of procrastinating is kicking in.
Wish me luck (and willpower)!

When a lecturer asks a complicated question, answers it with another complicated question and then expects you to find the answer to BOTH questions, you know it's time to start doing a lot of research, online and offline. Especially when he repeats the process again and again.
Though feeling as if you're in the linguistic equivalent of the Matrix is kind of cool once you have some vague ideas regarding the answers to the questions he asked (The red pill or the blue pill? Is 'pill' a root? Is 'root' and 'word' the same concept? Is 'pill' a word? How about 'base/stem'? so on and so forth.)
And now, memes from my F-list!

Hmmm, not entirely accurate (I'm not a gifted entertainer!), but there are certain parts that make me snicker and go 'that's kind of true'. Especially that part about meticulous implementation (or more accurately, the lack of). >D
And,
Anonymous posting is on. IP logging is turned off. Now tell me something. Tell me a secret. Tell me anything. Something you've never told anyone, or just something you think I might like. Be brazen, be anonymous, be anything. Then post this on your own journal and see what replies you'll get.

(Wow, my 3rd post related to my exam results; how 'bout that?)
Because my post (the one before the previous one) was so confusing and everyone kept asking if I was emo when I wasn't really:
My last semester's results were pretty good, actually! Straight As, with one A- for Journalism (which irks me a little, but then again, it's Journalism. I should be relieved I didn't get a B or anything). The GPA kicked my CGPA up, so now said CGPA stands at around 3.93 or something.
Oleh itu, sila ucaplah 'tahniah', bukan 'takziah'. ^O^
(Therefore, please wish me 'congratulations, not 'accept my condolences' - this line doesn't sound half as catchy in English, I'm afraid.)
Most of the incoherence from the previous post is mostly due to the fact that I was pretty stressed out waiting for the results, which should have been out waaaay earlier. (Then again, that's UTAR's efficiency for you, I guess.) That coupled with the fact that for some reason, I was checking it at 1 a.m. in the morning and it was suddenly working probably gave me some kind of adrenaline-high.
And caps pretty much works to express all kinds of high, don't you agree? ^O^
First week of uni over; from what I can see (and hear from other seniors), this term's set of lecturers seem pretty stellar too. Here's to (hopefully) finally getting a 4!
