Done for
Also, first fic written on my new laptop! How obvious is it that I am out of touch with writing?
I think I may have somewhat deviated from the original 'stripper-fic' prompt, ahahahaorz oops. Characters picked because of a certain unfinished, semi-old fic that may or may not be related and may or may not have stemmed off this fic. OOCness probably abound or something.
(I'll be starting the Odin's Sphere fic ASAP,
Saeki, Bane, Rokakku clubroom, heat, any way you want it.
( And Summer's Got its Grip on Us )
- I'm feeling:
amused - I'm listening to:You Deserve - Tenth Avenue North
Anyway, before that, here's an old scrap of a fic I found in my folder while pulling up the Rikkai/Maou fic. It's about a year or two old, methinks - title only seems unrelated because the scrap never made it that far. Hopefully it'll counter the lameness of the following fic? 8D
( Unthief )
...So!
Rikkai if 'Maou' were aired in the Tenipuri universe: Rikkai, gen, crossover of a sorts. Possible OOC warning and major spoilers for 'Maou': SHIELD THY EYES, CHILDREN.
( The Devil of It All (aka ‘The Great Maou Fic’) )
- I'm feeling:
*dorky* - I'm listening to:SHOT - KAT-TUN
Since it is best illustrated by said convo, it all started with this:
Cue discussion, contemplation, lots of laughter and headwalling until:
Dare ensues, crappy drabble is done and then Denise just had to do it:
Mentioned drabble (originally of 103 words) has obviously morphed into...well, this. I'M SORRY DENISE, I DID MY BEST TO MAKE IT PWP and Mills and Boons, BUT FAILED SO SO MISERABLY. Oh well.
Anyway, before I forget, here is a direct dare for
I'M DARING EITHER ONE OF YOU TO ILLUSTRATE ANY PART OF THIS DRABBLE. SERIOUSLY. 8D
Anyway!
Xiao Qiao, Zhou Yu, pairing fic, apple trees, attempted-and-failed-Mills and Boons. Generic title because I couldn't think of anything else.
( Complicated )
- I'm feeling:
crazy - I'm listening to:Frozen - Madonna
Before you start wondering if I've suddenly kicked my fanfic-writing gears into action again, this isn't a new fic. ^^;; I can't even quite remember when I wrote this (forgot to check the date before I edited it), but I'm thinking sometime late last year.
Can't believe I forgot about this though! I'm quite fond of it - Fuji's fun to write, when he's being cooperative in my head. I think I saved it back then, intending to edit it when I was free only to forget about it when assignments flooded in. >D;;; Oh well. Didn't edit much of it; if there's any mistakes I may have made, I'd appreciate the heads-up!
Fuji, fifteen facts, gen.
( Fifteen Facts regarding Fuji Syuusuke )
- I'm feeling:
energetic - I'm listening to:What Could Be Better - 33 Miles
Personally, I liked the core idea of this fic - the intro and the ending wouldn't quite settle properly (still doesn't, in my mind), but I had an absolute blast writing the middle bits. =p Pardon any mistakes rules-wise; I tried to keep it as accurate as possible, but I'm not too familiar with certain sports as I am with others.
Did a quick readthrough - there's only so much a person can focus on something after playing 'Mystery Case Files: Huntsville' after all.
Ryoma, Fuji, juxtaposition of various sports, guest appearances by Seigaku, Hyotei and Rikkai at some point or another. Gen, as usual.
EDITEI: A few tense edits and I poked at the first few paragraphs. Will likely be poking it a little bit more.
( Medley in Six Movements )
- I'm feeling:
*relaxed* - I'm listening to:SIGNAL - KAT-TUN
Like when I mixed up John Donne's 'The Sunne Rising' with Chaucer's 'Wife of Bath's Portrait (there goes two marks!...D8). Likewise, I almost ran out of time on my essay on the Romantic Period.
*headdesks with great righteousness*
On the bright side though, at least with the essay, I wasn't lacking in points to write about, only time - an extension of 30 minutes would have been more than welcomed. Just managed to squeeze in the dramas written by the 'Big Six' before I submitted my paper but wasn't able to fit in the details I had planned to, urgh.
Right now, I feel rather like a information-loaded pamphlet on the Romantic Period. It'll probably be gone by tomorrow when I'll be loaded with Journalism notes instead. Ah memory, such a fickle thing.
(I hope I'll be able to retain at least 3/4s of what I studied though - the Romantic Period is a fascinating subject to look into, history or not.)
In the meantime, the theme song of today (and possibly throughout the duration of this exam):
*grooves along* This is possibly what's keeping me grinning goofily instead of losing my head somewhere; it's on loop on my WMP at the moment.
In other news, I apparently have a, er, Fanfic Wiki Page. Erm, what? o___O
Hey guys, is there another seat on that boat you're on? Y'know, the one which goes 'Unsure whether Flattered or Terrified'?
At least it's only the FF.Net stuff (at the moment) though - I might be more creeped out if they start going through my LJ fic...
EDITEI: Changed the link for the Beatles' song - it works fine now!
- I'm feeling:
tired - I'm listening to:Let it Be - The Beatles
Methinks it's because of the date; we get a 29th of February only what, once every 4 years? Also, happy birthday, Fuji Syuusuke of POT fame. ^^
This hasn't really been edited, but I'm too tired to do anything but do a look through for spelling errors. Hopefully, it isn't too bad?...
Young Tezuka, Young Fuji, a windowsill in a house and strange discussions. Mini AU of a sorts. Gen, as usual. =p
( 'Who are you?' )
- I'm feeling:
productive - I'm listening to:Yuukyuu no Mori ~My Home Town~ - KOKIA
Man, Denise's going to kick me for this - I tried to write the news assignment I was supposed to (and I did! Honest!) when Rachmaninov's 'Vocalise' played on my WMP again. There is something about this song that produces nostalgic/melancholic/etc. fic somehow, thus...this.
I've realized this is...not short so, sorry if this is rambly. Really rambly. Almost to the extent where there seems to be no point. Or maybe there is no point...*ducks a flying tomato*
I'll get down to doing the other two essays tomorrow when I can access MSWord in uni. In the meantime, it feels good to have finally written something, nevermind that it might be, well, not as well written as it could be or something
Troika, gen, clubroom conversations on life and tennis.
( When the rain falls, cold )
- I'm feeling:
contemplative - I'm listening to:Vocalise - Rachmaninov
As written for
Set just after Genius 305 as Hyoutei comes to terms with their loss. 5066 words, Hyoutei, gen - enough said.
( Beauty in Ashes )
- I'm feeling:
lazy - I'm listening to:Akatsuki - Masuda Takahisa
Rachmaninov's 'Vocalise' did not help whatsoever - darn that melancholic, wistful, perfect timing. >_____> Hence the title inspiration.
Yanagi, Inui, Kaidoh, aftermath. Relatively minor spoilers and _some_ plot, I think.
( He thinks that tennis is the catalyst, the beginning of the end and turns that thought over and over in his hands before knowing it's really anything but. )
- I'm feeling:
*meh* - I'm listening to:Vocalise - Rachmaninov
[1] Thank you soooo much to
You guys are seriously, seriously awesome in both cosplaying and photography and I'm glad to be able to bask in all your collective awesomeness. ♥♥♥ Also, Axtar levels up in photography, y/n? >D
[2] Because I haven't posted fic in ages, seriously.
And I'm totally cheating because this fic was actually written ages ago as a crackish plot idea for
But anyway enough of the tl;dr - here's to hoping it's not overly lame. ^^;;
Marui, Niou, loss of sleep and stalker-ish overtones. Vague plot somewhere in the mix.
( Are you afraid of me, Marui? )
- I'm feeling:
*mweep!* - I'm listening to:Wild Child - Enya
Below are several of my favorite lines that I've ever written, each (or in some cases, 3) taken from a certain fanfic of mine. Anyone who manages to guess all the fics they are respectively from will get a drabble (of any specified fandom I'm familiar with) when my writer's block finally decides to take its leave. ^o^ All (ten of) the fics can be found in my master fic list.
Some of them are pretty much dead givaways, IMO (Okay, so I think they're ALL pretty much dead giveaways) but hey, what the heck, ( guessing never hurts anyone. )
If anything, browsing through my old fics makes me appreciate them more (THOSE CANAAN DAAAAYS, WHERE HAVE THEY GON-*is kicked*). On the not so bright side, I now itch to write something, anything but alas, Linguistics revision calls. Meh.
EDITEI: Comments temporarily screened.
EDITEI II: Just as a hint, only 5 are of the POT fandom.
EDITEI III: Of the non-POT ones, none of them are 30_kisses fic. >D
- I'm feeling:
*meh* - I'm listening to:Runaway - Jamiroquai
After I finally handed in both assignments, a random sentence embedded itself within my brain and refused to budge until I had written it out somehow. So I came home, opened MSWord and banged out pretty much whatever came to mind.
Hence, this. =D It feels _good_ to be writing something again, nevermind if it's slightly incoherent etcetera.
Tezuka, Fuji, clouds, dreamscapes.
( 'Where is 'here'?' )
- I'm feeling:
*hee* - I'm listening to:Ichizu - JYONGRI
This was the first POT long-fic I've ever written (since 'Inverse' was written after this; heck, it was a by-product of this, really) so I was nervous as to how this would be received. Thank you so much,
Also, a random bit of trivia: This entire fic was written while listening to 'Blue Eyes Blue' by Eric Clapton. ;p
*Spoilers for Genius 321 onwards* Niou, Marui, gen. As Rikkai goes head to head with Nagoyaseitoku on the tennis court, Niou remembers the first time he played doubles.
( A Strange Kind of Combination )
- I'm listening to:Blue Eyes Blue - Eric Clapton
Dashed out in 15 minutes in UTAR's computer lab with the prompt Tezuka, diamond. I still say this could be written better, but since Denise will probably whack me again if I keep insisting it's so, I will shut up. =p Hope you (still) like it, Denise~!
Note to self: Learn to pick better fic titles.
Tezuka Kunimitsu, Tezuka Ayana, a loss, a find.
( The story tumbles out in bits and pieces )
- I'm feeling:
*hee* - I'm listening to:Home - Michael Buble
I'm so sorry, Fen: I got diverted from the main prompt and the song wasn't mentioned at all (but I looped it for inspiration? 8D) and everything just turned out really WTF-y and cracky (somewhat). XDDDD Feel free to ask me to write another one if this one doesn't suffice!
Sanada, Yukimura, rest of Rikkai, clubbing, gen.
( When Yukimura had mentioned 'team-bonding activity', Sanada certainly hadn't been expecting…well, this )
- I'm feeling:
*LOL!* - I'm listening to:I Love You Mi Vida - D'Nash
Random fic which attacked during Linguistics class when we were studying sentence structures. I seriously considered trying to extend it into a longer fic for
subrosa_tennis but axed it because this fic actually is rather pointless, when one comes to think about it. It is, as I put it, a 'nonsense fic' with really no particular plot or point at all.
Still, I enjoyed scribbling this out; with all the gaming I've been doing lately, it was a nice change to be working on a fic. And Renji is always so much fun to write, nevermind that I have the paranoid feeling that I may have messed up his character. ^____^
Yanagi, Inui, Kirihara, MSN chat lines, a particular English sentence. First time using the rich text format, which explains the Verdana font (cut+paste directly from MSWord).
And yes, the line 'Colorless green ideas sleep furiously' does exist in my English textbook. =p Heck, it was the source of inspiration in the first place.
- I'm feeling:
*yawn* - I'm listening to:Mr. Bojangles - Robbie Williams
Easy laughter flit, muted, in arpeggios of amusement through the heavy chill of the morning air. "It really wouldn't be very polite, Niou-kun. Besides, she might still be asleep."
"Exactly my point." Damn politeness - they've loitered out here ten minutes too long for his liking already.
"Is he always like this, Yukimura-kun?"
"Sometimes; he's usually more infuriating during tennis practice." A figure shifts from where it's seated at the side; in the brightening darkness of the early morning, he smiles. "Still, he's a decent tennis player."
Saeki laughs again and turns to look at the window. "I'm sure he's more than just 'decent'; then again, Rikkai players always are. I wonder why Ellie hasn't barked at us yet – she does sometimes, when I come around."
"Heh, she has her moods." Niou smirks a little though at that revelation; Ellie has yet to ever bark when he comes to pay his visits, no matter how unorthodox and unplanned they were.
"Well," Yukimura glances at his watch, absent-mindedly playing with the edge of the brightly colored envelope in his hand, "I hope she gets up soon; I'd rather not linger outside too long either."
Saeki cradles the neatly wrapped box carefully in his hands. "Likewise. Still, Niou-kun says she's a morning person so…"
As the scent of the roses under his arm begin to permeate the morning, Niou glances at the window and grins to himself.
Not long now.
Happy birthday, Sera.
That being said, HAPPY BIRTHDAY,
I'm sorry that all I could do was churn out a
Also, HAPPY (BELATED) BIRTHDAY TO
Hope the both of you have an amazing year ahead of you~ ^______^
- I'm feeling:
silly - I'm listening to:Everything - Michael Buble
AIR GEAR IS SO MUCH ♥
I won't even attempt to be coherent, because I'm beyond that at the moment, but this manga is made of awesome, period. => I'mg going to have to keep up with this manga; does anyone know where I can download the latest chapters?
Although my brain breaks trying to comprehend why one of my favorite characters
Uni's been interesting so far; I can't tell if the lecturers are amused by us or just plain irritated at our antics. Huh.
Short drabble, spur of the moment.
Greyscale
He thinks that if you're not in Rikkai, then you're the enemy, point blank. And as the enemy, you should lose because the good guys always win. That's the way it is in his favorite cartoons anyway.
Beside him, Renji chuckles, amusement coloring his voice in shades of wry as he says it's not always that clear-cut, Akaya. And enemy is spelt with an 'e', not 'a'.
(He grumbles and rubs it blank again, sticking his tongue out at his senior when he's not looking before returning to his grammar exercises with a vengeance.)
owari
PS: Only the possibility of that happening has been relatively high, and Renji assigns Akaya more work because he can and Akaya could use the extra practice.
And now, MEME TIME (taken from
( I'm special because I like Pop'n Music 8D )
- I'm listening to:Makes Me Wonder - Maroon 5
*flops over* This fic idea snagged me when I was playing Pop'n Music and refused to let go for the past couple of days. Now that it's done, maybe I can go back to properly concentrating on homework. Thanks,
This is also the longest fic I've written to date by a mile at least. ^^;; Everytime I tried to end it, it just kept dragging itself longer and longer until...well, until it reached this length. An accomplishment for me, especially taking into consideration I don't write Seigaku fics often.
Give me a heads-up if there's OOC-ness; characterizing the Seigaku members, especially the Ichinen trio, was tricky.
Also, random trivia: This whole fic was written with 'Wish' by Olivia on loop; surprisingly enough, I'm not sick of the song yet. ♥ (Heck, I'm still looping it.)
EDITEI: Oh, and in case any one's wondering why Tezuka and Fuji are in the same class when they aren't, canon-wise, I'm calling in AU liberties here. XD
Tezuka, Echizen, Fuji, AU; Seigaku's third-year tennis players as first-years and vice versa, gen, 8065 words. Feedback of any kind appreciated muchly. ^^
( Inverse )
- I'm feeling:
*wheeeeeee!* - I'm listening to:Wish - OLIVIA inspi' REIRA (TRAPNEST)
